Each two hour workshop utilizes biblical principles to help job seekers move beyond the emotional issues associated with job loss and career transition. There is no cost to anyone who wants to participate in the program. Expert facilitators, called “Rainmakers” volunteer their time and talents to train and coach participants in six key areas of career planning adapted from the Crossroads Career Network model.
- Attitude: Reaching forward to what lies ahead
- Aptitude: Discovering and developing your strengths
- Altitude: Targeting opportunities and resumes
- Searching: Finding jobs, careers and callings
- Sorting: Secret strategies to “wow” interviewers
- Selecting: Walking in work made for you
The special needs of Veterans have been given careful consideration and the church has reached out to the professionals who are best equipped to meet the needs of our sons, daughters, mothers, fathers and loved ones who have given of themselves and their families for our safety and liberty. There are quite a few in the Career Explorer group and even more quietly seated in the congregation.
As an outreach to Vets in the congregation and the community at large, The Masters Touch International Church Career Ministry actively collaborates with the Employer Partnership of the Armed Forces for Florida and Puerto Rico
. Veterans in need of career transition services are encouraged to contact the church for more information. The Masters Touch salutes all of the Veterans who have honorably stood in the trenches on our behalf!
The final Career Planning Workshop at The Masters Touch is scheduled for Sat. Nov. 19 at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome and attendance at previous workshops is not a pre-requisite. A very special appreciation program for all of the volunteers and participants will be held at 5:30 p.m., following the last workshop of 2011.
